We’re happy to host @zerengoktan_artworks book launch at @liste_art_fair_basel , booth 52.

The book “Deep Blue” which Zeren Göktan began working on in the year 2017, represents a series of black and whitephotographs presenting different layers of gender, sexuality, and subjectivity through the images of different bodies of women, investigates the potential values that photographymay bring to body/performance art and feminism.
The series brings together women’s power, struggle, strength, rebellion, resistance, and bodily existence with weight scales.While deep blue refers to the mysterious and immense color of the ocean, women’s pursuit of balance in life makes itself feltin the weight scales.
The book includes essays by Çelenk Bafra and Eser Selen, published by Espas Publishing House, İstanbul.
