At the first sight, the relation between earth and sky is similar to the one between ground and ceiling; however, there can be only a metaphorical relation between a stairway to the sky and a stairway to a ceiling. Indeed, a stairway is a tool, which helps people to reach the one out of reach, an interzone. In this work, as a starting point, I have considered the above metaphorical similarities. Then, I have questioned the relation between up and down and also their tidal action by placing moldy bread heaps on the stairway steps, on which color separation is applied.
